Camp Groups
Once at camp, we will assign the campers to their groups based on grade.

We strive to keep our numbers at one staff to every 8 kids in grades k-1 and one staff to 10 campers in grades 2 and up. HOWEVER, at times if a group is very large we may  need to divide it.

Our staff consists of a weekly director, Dawn, Gio, Justin, and Stephanie.

We have a Registered Nurse each week as well as other certified first aid staff.

We have two certified and kayak certified lifeguards.

Our counseling staff is experienced  with working with children and  camp at Killam’s Point.

Our JCs attend a training and are supervised by a counselor.

What should the camper bring
Campers should bring a NUT free  bagged lunch. Only lunch bags will be able to fit in the refrigerator.  We will provide water and juice all day for the kids.  Please send in a water bottle with your child.  Snacks will be provided as well.

Campers have time on the beach and in the woods, so please send in a beach towel, sunscreen, and bug spray.   We do remind the campers to put on sunscreen and bug spray throughout the day. PLEASE- NO OPEN TOE SANDALS- AND WE RECOMMEND WATER SHOES FOR THE BEACH. There  are sharp shells at the beach.  You may also send in a coast guard approved flotation device.  We do have life jackets for kayaking.

Cell phones, electronic devices, and video games are not allowed at camp.  If a camper needs to have a cell phone, it needs to be kept in their backpack at all times.  If they need to call home for any reason, they should see the director. Please no toys, money, or anything valuable- KP is NOT responsible for a camper’s belongings.

A camper’s daily schedule includes swimming, kayaking, nature trails, games, crafts, science activities, and group time- and the ever popular four square!

Each week we tie dye and every Friday we have a hot dog cookout!

If you need to get in touch with anyone from camp, please contact Dawn at 203-927-6403.

Please do not come to camp unannounced.  If you do need to come, please do not drive past the orange cones. They are there to keep the campers safe.

Health
All health forms must be on file before your child arrives at camp.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME IF THEY APPEAR SICK.
